MindHarp Benefits in Care Settings

In this video, Julie Adcock (CQC-rated 5-Star carer) talks in depth about her work with MindHarp and its impact on her clients.

  • Connecting and bonding carer and cared-for

  • Stimulating self-expression, self-esteem and self-achievement

  • A serious, grown-up tool for self-expression

  • Overcoming barriers of communication, even when non-verbal

In this introduction you will see direct footage of MindHarp in action at the Peggy Dodd Centre near Bath, England and hear carers sharing their experience of using MindHarp.

Please note: This video features the old iOS native App which, when launched, was called the LydianMindHarp. The upgraded new web-based app includes the sounds from the old app plus many more.

Inspiration for Activities in Care Settings

We have experienced some truly extraordinary moments working with MindHarp in dementia settings. The video below captured one of these. The lovely lady in the coat, after a lot of fun and play in a group session, suddenly asked to sing a French song. This in itself was lovely but we found out afterwards that she had not sung or spoken in French in decades. In fact, her son who was in his 40s had never heard his mum sing or speak in French.
